Dubai Expo 2020: Connecting Minds, Creating the Future

World Expo, a much sought after and awaited event is now poised to be hosted in Dubai, in 2020. Having won the rights in November 2013, it is the first time ever that any of the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) countries would be hosting the World Expo.

Showcasing the theme – ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’; Dubai’s World Expo would highlight the essence, importance, and relevance of the power of cooperation and partnership in the world today that is fast turning into a global village. The UAE itself echoes the success story of this phenomenon through its tremendous growth, innovation, and unmatched development.

Through Dubai Expo 2020, UAE aims to perpetrate, encourage, and inspire global participation in mobilization of resources to take global challenges head-on; sharing the responsibilities and goals for unprecedented growth and development world over. Dubai Expo 2020 aims to enhance the global scope of businesses, trade, technology, services, travel, and more most importantly, searching for and discovering sustainable avenues of growth for all. It aims to become the platform where enhanced collaborations emerge to help the global community form new and better associations. These, in turn, will lead the path to an even more developed future with innovations, new ideas, and lasting partnerships beyond the boundaries of nation and land.

The Expo will focus on creating advanced networking opportunities through Collaborative Entrepreneurship (CE). Expo 2020 Dubai has partnered with Wamda to bring together more than 400 representatives from some of the world’s best multinationals. These representatives will inspire startups as well as established corporations. The aim is not only to give a boost to smaller businesses, but also to revive the larger and older ones. The Collaborative Entrepreneurship Summit will thus create new avenues for the local audiences. Moreover it will provide a stage to convene a diverse array of professionals from all over the world who will deliberate on various issues, identify the opportunities and uncover the challenges that business houses may confront in future.

With an expected 25 million visits, Expo 2020 is likely to attract over 70 percent visitors from overseas. This extravaganza with run from 20 October 2020 until 10 April 2021 and would also be the platform to set the stage for the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the country.
